Role: Secondary Individuals and Societies Teacher
As a Secondary Individuals and Societies Teacher, you will help students develop a deep understanding of history, geography, economics, politics, and global issues. Your role will involve engaging students through interactive and inquiry-based learning, preparing them for IB MYP and DP assessments, and fostering critical thinking, research, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and student-centered lessons in Individuals and Societies.
- Foster a learning environment that encourages critical thinking, discussion, and inquiry.
- Prepare students for IB MYP and DP assessments, ensuring they meet curriculum standards.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into lessons.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum planning and interdisciplinary learning.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and implement strategies for improvement.
- Engage with parents, students, and staff to support student success and well-being.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Valid teaching license (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international curriculum.
- Strong understanding of IB MYP and DP frameworks.
- Ability to create an inclusive, engaging, and student-focused learning environment.
