Role Overview: Secondary Math/AP Math Teacher
KIS is seeking a skilled and motivated educator to teach secondary-level mathematics, including Advanced Placement (AP) Math courses. The successful candidate will create a challenging and supportive classroom environment that inspires academic success and analytical thinking.
Responsibilities
- Teach AP and secondary-level mathematics courses
- Design standards-aligned and engaging lesson plans
- Integrate technology and real-world applications into instruction
- Track and assess student progress consistently
- Provide individualized academic support as needed
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and curriculum development
- Participate in extracurricular activities and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least two years of teaching experience, ideally with AP or international programs
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth
