Role Overview: Secondary Mathematics Teacher
As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, you will teach a range of math subjects aligned with the IB MYP and DP frameworks. You will challenge students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and engage deeply with mathematical concepts. Your role also includes collaborating with colleagues across disciplines and supporting holistic student development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver well-planned, engaging math lessons across middle and high school levels
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Use data and assessments to inform teaching practices
- Promote student inquiry, logical reasoning, and applied mathematics
- Collaborate with other IB teachers on curriculum development
- Engage with parents and contribute to the wider school community
- Participate actively in professional learning and school-wide events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, state licensure)
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience at the secondary level
- Experience with the IB MYP and DP or international curricula is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Comfortable integrating educational technology into instruction
- Passionate about teaching in a multicultural, international environment
