Role Overview: Secondary Mathematics Teacher
As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, you will guide students in mastering key mathematical concepts across a range of topics. You will design dynamic lessons, differentiate instruction based on student needs, and foster a classroom culture of inquiry and resilience. The role involves planning, assessing, and collaborating with colleagues to enrich the math program and support whole-school initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics to secondary students, following international standards
- Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that meet diverse learning needs
- Use formative and summative assessments to track and support student progress
- Integrate technology to enhance the delivery of math instruction
- Provide regular feedback to students and communicate progress with parents
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
- Support students’ academic growth while promoting independent learning skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or Education
- Valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level
- Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., Cambridge, IB, or similar)
- Strong subject knowledge and instructional skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
