Role Overview: Secondary Mathematics Teacher (IGCSE)
The successful candidate will teach mathematics across lower and upper secondary levels, with a focus on Cambridge IGCSE content. The role includes planning differentiated lessons, assessing student progress using formative and summative methods, and creating an inclusive classroom where students feel encouraged to explore mathematical concepts confidently.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, concept-based lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics curriculum
- Plan and assess learning activities that challenge and support students of varying abilities
- Integrate real-world problem solving and digital tools into teaching
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and cross-disciplinary projects
- Contribute to school events, parent communications, and extracurricular math-related initiatives
- Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching secondary mathematics, ideally in a Cambridge IGCSE setting
- Strong understanding of international curricula and best practices in math education
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to foster strong relationships within the school community
