Role Overview: Secondary Mathematics Teacher (Cambridge IGCSE – A-Level)

As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, you will guide students through essential mathematical concepts and skills. You will help them develop logical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and a strong foundation for IGCSE and A-Level examinations. Your teaching will encourage critical thinking and inspire confidence in applying math in real-world contexts.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics at the IGCSE and A-Level stages using the Cambridge curriculum
• Create engaging, differentiated lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Use data-driven assessments to track student progress and inform instruction
• Support students in preparing for external exams and academic competitions
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects
• Maintain open communication with students, parents, and staff
• Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
• Recognized teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level
• Experience with the Cambridge curriculum is strongly preferred
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, student-focused, and collaborative teaching style
• Technologically savvy, with the ability to integrate digital tools into lessons
