Role Overview
The Secondary Mathematics Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning. The teacher will support students as they progress through the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level math courses, helping them achieve academic excellence and confidence in applying mathematical concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality math lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
- Prepare students for IGCSE and A-Level assessments
- Encourage logical reasoning and analytical problem-solving
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
- Use technology and innovative methods to enhance teaching
- Provide constructive feedback and track student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school initiatives
- Participate in extracurricular and enrichment activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience, preferably in international schools
- Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum or other international frameworks
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to professional development and lifelong learning
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
