Role Overview
The Secondary Mathematics Teacher will teach mathematics across middle and high school levels, delivering lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires creativity in lesson planning, effective classroom management, and the ability to guide students toward strong exam performance while nurturing problem-solving and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics at IGCSE and A-Level following Cambridge standards
- Create engaging and interactive lessons that encourage inquiry and critical thinking
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments with structured academic support
- Track student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the curriculum and support school-wide initiatives
- Incorporate technology into lessons to enhance student learning outcomes
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, math clubs, or competitions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, ideally in international schools
- Familiarity with Cambridge or similar international curricula
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Strong commitment to professional growth and innovation in teaching
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
