Role Overview: Secondary Mathematics Teacher
As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, you will teach mathematics to students in lower and upper secondary levels, aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum. Your role includes creating dynamic, concept-based lessons that help students build strong problem-solving, analytical, and numerical skills. You will also contribute to school initiatives, support student development, and work closely with a team of dedicated educators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver mathematics instruction based on the IGCSE framework
- Integrate real-world applications, technology, and differentiated instruction
- Track student progress using formative and summative assessments
- Support students in preparing for internal and external examinations
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning
- Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or recognized certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably in an IGCSE environment
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Self-motivated and committed to continuous professional learning
- Passionate about working in a multicultural Christian school setting
- Able to use educational technology effectively in the classroom
