Role: Secondary Mathematics Teacher
As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, you will play a critical role in delivering engaging, challenging, and supportive lessons that follow the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics curriculum. You will work closely with a team of educators to foster a love for problem-solving and analytical thinking in students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to secondary-level students following the IGCSE syllabus
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with curriculum objectives
- Deliver differentiated instruction to meet the varied needs of learners
- Promote critical thinking, logical reasoning, and real-world application of mathematics
- Assess and monitor student progress using appropriate tools and feedback
- Use digital tools and technologies to enhance teaching and student engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular planning and school-wide initiatives
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders
- Contribute actively to school development and continuous professional learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or recognized qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level, preferably in international schools
- In-depth knowledge of the IGCSE Mathematics syllabus and effective instructional practices
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High level of proficiency in English
- A proactive and collaborative approach to education
- Commitment to continuous professional development and student achievement
