Role Overview: Secondary Mathematics Teacher
The Secondary Mathematics Teacher will design and deliver dynamic lessons based on the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics curriculum. You will help students develop strong analytical skills, mathematical reasoning, and a deep appreciation for problem-solving. This role requires creativity, initiative, and the ability to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction to secondary-level students
- Develop lesson plans aligned with Cambridge IGCSE objectives
- Monitor student progress through meaningful assessments
- Encourage mathematical inquiry and independent thinking
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and enrichment activities
- Contribute to co-curricular programmes and math-related competitions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related subject
- Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics framework
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, innovative, and committed to professional development
- Skilled at integrating educational technology into classroom practices
