Role Overview: Secondary Mathematics Teacher
As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, you will teach middle and high school math courses, helping students build a strong foundation in algebra, geometry, statistics, and other core areas. Your lessons will promote problem-solving, logical reasoning, and real-world application of mathematical concepts. The ideal candidate brings creativity, precision, and a passion for guiding students toward academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver mathematics lessons aligned with the American curriculum
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities
- Use a range of strategies, including technology and project-based learning
- Monitor and assess student progress through formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary instruction and school initiatives
- Support math-related extracurricular activities such as competitions or clubs
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and school staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level
- Strong knowledge of subject-specific pedagogy and instructional technology
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Passion for teaching in an international, multicultural environment
