Role Overview: Secondary Mathematics Teacher
The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality mathematics curriculum designed to engage students in logical reasoning, problem-solving, and real-world application. This role requires strong subject knowledge, the ability to differentiate instruction, and a proactive approach to supporting student progress and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective mathematics lessons aligned with the Singapore curriculum
- Develop learning materials that promote conceptual understanding and academic growth
- Use assessment data to monitor student progress and guide instruction
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary learning opportunities
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Utilize educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Participate actively in professional development and contribute to school initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field
- Valid teaching license or recognized certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least two years of teaching experience in mathematics at the secondary level
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment practices
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to educational excellence
- Enthusiasm for working in a culturally diverse international school setting
