Role Overview: Secondary Media Studies Teacher

As a Media Studies Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons in film, journalism, digital storytelling, and media literacy. You will empower students to analyze media critically, produce their own digital content, and understand the role of media in contemporary society.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach media studies to middle and high school students
• Develop and deliver dynamic lessons aligned with international standards
• Encourage student creativity through hands-on multimedia projects
• Assess student work using clear rubrics and constructive feedback
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate media into interdisciplinary units
• Organize co-curricular activities such as film clubs or student publications
• Support school events and contribute to a positive school culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Media Studies, Communication, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in secondary or international schools
• Familiarity with international curricula (IGCSE, A-Level, or IB preferred)
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• High proficiency in written and spoken English
• Technologically proficient and enthusiastic about using media tools in the classroom
• Passionate about global education and innovation in teaching
