Role Overview: Secondary Music Teacher
As a Secondary Music Teacher at GPS, you will design and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with the curriculum. You will encourage students to develop their musical skills, creativity, and appreciation for diverse musical genres. Your role includes organizing performances, guiding students in music theory and practice, and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or license (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of experience teaching music at the secondary level
- Strong expertise in music theory, performance, and classroom management
- Excellent communication skills for working with a diverse international student body
- Enthusiasm for continuous professional development and learning
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, and contribute to curriculum innovation
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Experience using educational technology to enhance music teaching and learning
