Role: Secondary Music Teacher
As a Secondary Music Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and creative music lessons to students in Key Stages 3–5
- Preparing students for IGCSE and A-Level music examinations
- Encouraging musical appreciation, performance, and creativity across all age groups
- Leading or supporting co-curricular music activities, concerts, and school performances
- Collaborating with colleagues to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects
- Using assessment data to guide instruction and support student growth
- Employing a range of teaching strategies, including technology, to enhance learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least two years of teaching experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and Cambridge assessment frameworks
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Passionate about music education and capable of fostering a love for music
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to professional development
