Role Overview
The Secondary PE Teacher will play a key role in designing and delivering a comprehensive physical education program that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong fitness. You will be responsible for planning engaging PE lessons, organizing sports activities, and preparing students for both individual and team-based challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
- Promote health, fitness, and well-being through a variety of physical activities
- Organize and supervise extracurricular sports events and clubs
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and resilience among students
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and abilities
- Integrate modern teaching methods and technology into lessons
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school
- Familiarity with Cambridge or other international curricula
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High level of proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and learning
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential
