Role Overview: Secondary Physical Education Teacher
The Secondary Physical Education Teacher will lead engaging and inclusive PE classes for middle and high school students. You will develop a comprehensive sports and fitness program that enhances motor skills, encourages teamwork, and builds student confidence. The role includes organizing extracurricular activities, leading school sports events, and contributing to the broader physical wellness initiatives of the school.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver dynamic PE lessons across multiple grade levels
Promote health, fitness, and well-being through diverse sports activities
Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth in students
Support inter-school competitions and lead athletic events
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical education into the whole-school curriculum
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or recognized certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- Minimum of 2 years teaching PE at the secondary level
- Strong knowledge of physical education pedagogy and sports coaching
- Effective classroom management and strong communication skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Experience using technology to enhance instruction
- Passion for student development and commitment to school initiatives
