Role Overview: Secondary Physics Teacher (IGCSE/A-Level)
As a Secondary Physics Teacher, you will teach IGCSE and A-Level Physics to students in Grades 9–12. You will develop engaging, inquiry-based lessons that foster scientific literacy, problem-solving, and experimentation. You will also play an active role in academic mentoring, curriculum development, and extracurricular programs such as science fairs and STEM clubs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Physics instruction aligned with Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level standards
- Design and implement engaging lab-based activities and practical assessments
- Monitor and report student progress with clear, timely feedback
- Contribute to departmental planning and inter-disciplinary projects
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics or a closely related field
- Valid teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least two years of experience teaching Physics at the secondary level
- Familiarity with IGCSE or A-Level curricula
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in English
