Role Overview: Secondary Physics Teacher
As a Secondary Physics Teacher, you will teach Key Stages 3–5, including IGCSE and A-Level Physics. You will create dynamic, inquiry-based lessons that promote scientific thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving. The role includes supporting academic progress, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to school-wide STEM initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Physics lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
- Use lab experiments and simulations to deepen student understanding
- Differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs
- Track student progress and provide targeted feedback
- Engage in school events, enrichment programs, and academic planning
- Collaborate with other science and math teachers on interdisciplinary projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics or Science Education
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- At least 2 years of secondary Physics teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of IGCSE/A-Level Physics standards
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
