Role Overview: Secondary Physics Teacher (IGCSE)
The successful candidate will teach Physics at the lower and upper secondary levels, following the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum. You will deliver clear and engaging instruction, support students’ academic growth, and contribute to school-wide science initiatives. This role requires strong collaboration with other science educators and active involvement in co-curricular activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Physics in alignment with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum
- Create lesson plans that support diverse learning styles
- Conduct labs and practical experiments that foster hands-on learning
- Track and assess student progress regularly
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school community events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics or a related field
- Recognized teaching credential (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role
- Experience with the Cambridge or other international curriculum preferred
- Strong subject knowledge and instructional expertise
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Technologically adept and able to integrate digital tools into teaching
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
