Role Overview: Secondary Physics Teacher
The successful candidate will teach IGCSE Physics and contribute to the school’s wider science and STEM programs. You will help students explore key physics principles while nurturing critical thinking, experimentation, and analytical skills. The role includes practical laboratory work, inquiry-led instruction, and technology-enhanced learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Physics to secondary-level students using the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum
- Design engaging lessons that build conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability
- Facilitate lab-based experiments that support scientific inquiry and accuracy
- Incorporate real-world applications to make learning relevant and meaningful
- Collaborate with science colleagues to plan interdisciplinary activities
- Support STEM-related extracurricular events and science competitions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Physics at the secondary level
- Solid understanding of the Cambridge curriculum and assessment standards
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- High fluency in spoken and written English
- Proactive mindset, with a passion for innovation in teaching and learning
- Ability to use digital tools and platforms to enhance student engagement
