Role: Secondary School Science Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Science at KS3 & KS4, covering topics in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics while ensuring engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
• Deliver A-level Science lessons, preparing students for university-level studies and STEM-related careers.
• Develop and implement practical experiments, laboratory investigations, and real-world science applications to enhance student learning.
• Inspire students to think critically, analyze data, and apply scientific concepts in everyday life.
• Use modern teaching strategies and digital tools to create interactive and engaging lessons.
• Assess and track student progress, providing personalized feedback and targeted support to help each student succeed.
• Organize science field trips, STEM projects, and extracurricular activities to enrich learning beyond the classroom.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and inquiry-based classroom environment that encourages student curiosity and scientific exploration.
• Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote science education and STEM initiatives.
• Contribute to the school’s Professional Learning Community (PLC) and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and PGCE/PGDE/PGDipEd/BEd.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related field.
• Minimum of two years’ experience teaching Science at KS3 & KS4 (Edexcel curriculum preferred).
• Ability to teach A-level Science and support students in STEM career pathways.
• A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent student outcomes.
• Experience in organizing field trips, laboratory experiments, and science competitions.
• Passion for innovation in science education, research-based teaching practices, and digital learning tools.
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
