Role Overview: Secondary Science & Physics Teacher
The Secondary Science & Physics Teacher will teach General Science and IGCSE-level Physics to secondary students. This role involves delivering interactive, practical lessons that develop scientific literacy, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of physical principles. The ideal candidate brings passion for science education and experience in an international or Cambridge curriculum setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Science and Physics to students in Key Stage 3 and IGCSE levels
- Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the Cambridge framework
- Use laboratory activities and demonstrations to reinforce key scientific concepts
- Assess student progress using a variety of tools and provide timely feedback
- Support extracurricular science events and interschool competitions
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Science, or a related field
- Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or Cambridge curriculum school
- Strong classroom management and clear communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Familiarity with integrating educational technologies into the science classroom
- A collaborative and reflective approach to teaching and professional development
