Role Overview: Secondary Science Teacher
The successful candidate will teach middle and high school science courses aligned with the American curriculum. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that include lab investigations, inquiry-based projects, and interdisciplinary learning experiences. Your role will also involve mentoring students, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to extracurricular science initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach science subjects to students in secondary grades
Develop and implement lessons that promote critical thinking and real-world application
Use a variety of teaching strategies, including hands-on lab work and digital tools
Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
Participate in science fairs, STEM clubs, and student enrichment programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related field
- Valid teaching license or equivalent qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in secondary education
- Strong knowledge of science curriculum and instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team
- Comfortable using technology to enhance learning experiences
