Role Overview: Secondary Science Teacher

As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging science lessons to students preparing for the Cambridge IGCSE exams. You will create inquiry-driven learning experiences, foster a love for scientific discovery, and help students develop critical thinking and practical lab skills. You will also collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide initiatives that support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Science to secondary students following the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus
• Develop lesson plans that promote conceptual understanding and inquiry-based learning
• Incorporate lab activities, projects, and technology into lessons
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
• Collaborate with the academic team on curriculum planning and cross-subject projects
• Support school activities, science events, and extracurricular programs
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related discipline
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with IGCSE curriculum familiarity
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• A passion for working in a culturally diverse international school setting
• Self-motivated, organized, and committed to continuous professional development
• Comfortable using technology to enhance learning outcomes
