Role Overview: Secondary Science Teacher
The successful candidate will teach general science at the secondary level and may specialize in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, depending on expertise. Lessons should promote scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and real-world application. You will engage students through interactive learning experiences aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum and foster a positive learning culture in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic science lessons for Key Stage 3 and IGCSE students
- Align teaching strategies with the Cambridge IGCSE Science syllabus
- Use varied assessment tools to track student progress and inform instruction
- Foster curiosity, experimentation, and analytical thinking in students
- Integrate digital tools and lab-based learning to enhance instruction
- Collaborate with fellow educators on cross-disciplinary projects and school events
- Build strong relationships with students and parents through open communication
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of secondary teaching experience in science
- Familiarity with IGCSE or British curricula
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Strong commitment to professional development
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
