Role: Secondary Science Teacher
As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will teach Key Stage 3 and IGCSE-level science, with potential opportunities to deliver A-Level content. You will develop students’ understanding of biology, chemistry, and physics through practical investigations and inquiry-based learning. The role requires a teacher who brings creativity, clarity, and consistency to the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach general science and subject-specific content aligned with the UK and Cambridge curricula
- Plan and deliver hands-on, inquiry-based science lessons
- Design assessments that measure learning outcomes effectively
- Incorporate technology and real-world applications into science instruction
- Foster an inclusive classroom culture that promotes curiosity and collaboration
- Participate in science-related extracurricular activities, such as science fairs or STEM clubs
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive curriculum delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related discipline
- Teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of secondary-level teaching experience
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and Cambridge standards
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, organized, and committed to professional development
