Role: Secondary Social Studies Teacher
As a Social Studies Teacher at the secondary level, you will deliver engaging lessons across subjects such as World History, U.S. History, Government, and Geography. You will promote critical thinking, debate, and an appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach middle and high school Social Studies based on U.S. standards
- Design inquiry-based lessons that encourage analysis and discussion
- Integrate current events and primary sources into instruction
- Use digital tools to enhance classroom learning
- Assess student performance using diverse, data-driven methods
- Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues
- Collaborate on cross-curricular projects and school initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Social Studies, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, U.S. state license)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Familiarity with U.S. or international school curricula
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- High proficiency in English
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic about school development and innovation
- Comfortable integrating technology into daily instruction
