Role Overview: Secondary Social Studies Teacher

The Secondary Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons in history, geography, civics, and economics. The goal is to cultivate critical thinking, cultural understanding, and informed global citizenship in middle and high school students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Social Studies courses aligned with the US curriculum and AP standards
• Design interactive lesson plans that encourage inquiry and discussion

• Use a variety of assessment tools to monitor student progress
• Contribute to cross-curricular projects and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Political Science, Education, or related field
• Valid teaching license or equivalent (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
