Role Overview: Secondary Teacher
As a Secondary Teacher at IIS, you will deliver subject-specific instruction while differentiating learning to meet students’ diverse needs. You will foster critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration through engaging and inclusive lessons. Working closely with the support team, you will help students thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach subject-specific classes based on international curricula (e.g., Cambridge IGCSE or IB)
- Design and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans
- Use data-driven instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Integrate technology effectively into classroom instruction
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists and learning specialists
- Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant teaching field
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, IB Educator Certificate)
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience at the secondary level
- Familiarity with international curricula (Cambridge, IB, IPC)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching
