Role: SEND Teacher
As a SEND Teacher, you will design and implement individualized learning strategies that help students with special educational needs and disabilities achieve academic success. You will also play a key role in adapting the curriculum, fostering an inclusive classroom environment, and working closely with parents and school staff to support student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
- Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they have access to a personalized and engaging learning experience.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor student progress and implement targeted interventions.
- Provide guidance and support for students transitioning between key stages or alternative curriculum pathways.
- Teach Secondary Mathematics, integrating strategies that cater to students with diverse learning needs.
- Stay up to date with best practices in special education, inclusion strategies, and SEND policy development.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject area.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching certification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in SEND education and inclusion within an international school setting.
- Proven ability to teach Secondary Mathematics while supporting students with varied learning needs.
- Experience in alternative curriculum pathway implementation.
- Strong skills in positive behavior management and student engagement.
- A proven track record of delivering outstanding results as a leading SEND educator.
- Cleared Police and Safeguarding Background Checks.
