This school is based in Mansourieh El Metn, Lebanon and is looking for a Special Rights Teacher.

Eastwood International School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Rights Teacher to join our inclusive education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) by providing tailored instruction and resources. This role involves creating a supportive learning environment, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure each student’s success and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualized Instruction:
    • Develop and implement IEPs for students with special educational needs.
    • Adapt and modify curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet each student’s unique needs.
    • Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to address specific learning challenges.
  • Assessment and Monitoring:
    • Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs, strengths, and areas for growth.
    • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on student performance and development.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with classroom teachers to integrate special education strategies into the general curriculum.
    • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and external specialists to support student learning and development.
    • Participate in team meetings to discuss and plan interventions and supports for students with SEN.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
    • Implement behavior management strategies to support students with emotional or behavioral challenges.
    • Foster a safe and respectful learning atmosphere for all students.
  • Professional Development:
    • Stay informed about current best practices and research in special education.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Share expertise and strategies with colleagues to promote an inclusive school culture.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Engage with the school community to raise awareness and understanding of special education needs.
    • Participate in school events and activities to support inclusive education.
    • Advocate for the needs and rights of students with SEN within the school community.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Teaching certification in special education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, practices, and individualized instruction techniques.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and specialists.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
