Role Overview

The Senior School Computer Science Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ digital literacy, problem-solving skills, and advanced programming abilities. You will prepare learners for IGCSE and A-Level Computer Science examinations, while also encouraging curiosity about technology, coding, and innovation. Beyond the classroom, you will support extracurricular initiatives such as robotics clubs, coding competitions, and digital projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons aligned with the British curriculum
• Teach programming, algorithms, systems architecture, and emerging technologies
• Use digital tools and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning
• Guide students in developing independent research and problem-solving skills
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Contribute to extracurricular activities like coding clubs or robotics projects
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen cross-curricular learning opportunities
• Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience, preferably in an international or British curriculum school
• Familiarity with IGCSE and A-Level Computer Science
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to professional development and innovative teaching practices
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
