Role Overview

The Senior School History Teacher will design and deliver lessons that challenge and inspire students across a range of abilities. You will support learners in developing analytical skills, historical knowledge, and critical thinking abilities, while encouraging curiosity about global and regional history.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging history lessons aligned with the British curriculum and A-Level requirements
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners
• Use innovative teaching strategies and digital tools to enhance learning
• Guide students in developing strong research, writing, and critical analysis skills
• Support extracurricular activities such as history clubs, debates, or academic competitions
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen cross-curricular links and whole-school initiatives
• Provide constructive feedback and maintain strong communication with parents and guardians

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History or a related subject
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, ideally in an international or British curriculum school
• Familiarity with A-Level History and international curricula
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to professional development and innovative teaching practices
• High level of proficiency in spoken and written English
