Role Overview
The Senior School Mathematics Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons across multiple ability levels, helping students develop confidence and mastery in mathematics. You will encourage analytical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning, while preparing students for IGCSE and A-Level examinations. This role also involves contributing to extracurricular clubs, academic competitions, and collaborative school initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons aligned with the British curriculum
- Support students in developing problem-solving and analytical skills
- Use technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the curriculum and promote cross-curricular links
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as math clubs or competitions
- Maintain strong communication with students, colleagues, and parents
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience, ideally in an international or British curriculum school
- Familiarity with IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and innovative teaching practices
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
