Role: Social Studies Teacher

The Social Studies Teacher will play a vital role in developing students’ understanding of history, geography, and global issues. Through engaging lessons, the teacher will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive Social Studies lessons aligned with the AERO Common Core Plus curriculum.
• Develop creative teaching strategies that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Encourage critical thinking, debate, and discussion to help students connect historical events to modern-day issues.
• Use various assessment methods to track student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that motivates students to engage actively.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.
• Participate in extracurricular activities that support student growth and development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, History, Geography, or a related field.
• Valid teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent credential.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Social Studies at the appropriate grade level.
• Strong understanding of the AERO curriculum or other American educational frameworks.
• Proven ability to create engaging lessons that promote inquiry, discussion, and real-world connections.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to support diverse learning needs.
