Role Overview: Social Studies Teacher
The Social Studies Teacher will deliver engaging and standards-based instruction to middle and high school students. Responsibilities include teaching topics such as American history, world civilizations, and contemporary social issues. You will develop lesson plans that foster analytical thinking and connect historical content to current global contexts. Active participation in school events and a willingness to collaborate across departments are essential to this role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Social Studies, or a closely related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in secondary education
- Background in teaching American history or a major in history is preferred
- Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively and engage students
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Self-motivated, innovative, and team-oriented
- Tech-savvy with a strong grasp of educational tools and platforms
- Passionate about cultural diversity and international education
