Role Overview: Music and Drama Teacher
As a Music and Drama Teacher, you will:
- Teach engaging and age-appropriate music and drama lessons to students across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary levels
- Create a curriculum that promotes creativity, collaboration, and confidence in performance
- Organize and direct school performances, plays, and music showcases
- Encourage students to explore various musical genres, instruments, and theatrical forms
- Use formative assessment to support students’ creative growth
- Work closely with teaching colleagues across disciplines to enrich the broader curriculum
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or international equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in music or drama, preferably with KS3 and IGCSE levels
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Confidence in teaching across a broad age range, including Early Years
- A strong commitment to student-centered learning and professional development
- Fluency in spoken and written English
