This school is based in Fengxian Area, China and is looking for a Softball Varsity Coach

The MacDuffie Mustangs Athletics Department invites applications for the part time position of Softball Coach. Apply today for this tremendous opportunity to be Head Coach to lead and build our Softball Program. MacDuffie is a member of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive softball program that aligns with the school’s mission and athletic department goals.
  • Conduct regular practice sessions focusing on skill development, strategy, and physical conditioning.
  • Teach students the rules, strategies, and techniques of softball.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive team environment.
  • Plan and manage game schedules, including coordinating with other schools and athletic organizations.
  • Attend and supervise all practices, games, showcases, and tournaments.
  • Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to student-athletes.
  • Maintain and manage softball equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and administration.
  • Promote good sportsmanship, ethical behavior, and integrity.
  • Uphold the school’s policies and guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience coaching/playing softball at the high school or college level.
  • Strong knowledge of softball rules, strategies, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to transport the team to matches and tournaments.
  • Commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
  • Availability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed.
