Role: Chemistry Teacher

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will guide students through essential scientific concepts, encouraging analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. You will create engaging lessons, conduct hands-on experiments, and inspire students to pursue careers in science, technology, and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive chemistry lessons aligned with the Virginia State Standards of Learning and Next Generation Science Standards.
• Develop creative teaching strategies to simplify complex chemistry concepts such as atomic structure, chemical reactions, and periodic trends.
• Design and oversee practical experiments that reinforce theoretical knowledge.
• Foster a positive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and explore scientific ideas.
• Assess student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop lesson plans and enhance the science curriculum.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field.
• Recognized Teaching Diploma or equivalent teaching certification.
• Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in a school environment.
• Strong understanding of key chemistry concepts, including organic chemistry, stoichiometry, and molecular structures.
• Excellent communication skills with a passion for fostering curiosity and academic growth.
