Role: High School PE Teacher

The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate physical education lessons to students in Grades 7 through 10. You will play a key role in promoting physical fitness, teamwork, resilience, and leadership through a variety of sports and physical activities. Your work will directly contribute to students’ well-being and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach PE lessons aligned with Foundation IGCSE and IGCSE Core Physical Education
• Design units that encourage physical literacy, sportsmanship, and lifelong fitness
• Monitor and assess student progress with clear learning objectives and outcomes
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Support school-wide events, house competitions, and extracurricular activities
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and share best practices
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
• Valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching PE at the secondary level
• Familiarity with Foundation IGCSE and IGCSE PE curricula
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
• High level of fluency in spoken and written English
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Ability to incorporate technology to enhance student learning
• Passion for supporting student well-being and promoting an active lifestyle
