Middle School Homeroom Teacher, Eastwood International School, Lebanon

This school is based in Mansourieh El Metn, Lebanon and is looking for a Middle School English Teacher. 

Eastwood International School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Homeroom Teacher to join our faculty for the 2024/25 academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a supportive and stimulating learning environment for middle school students, guiding their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across various subjects for middle school students.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the educational needs and developmental stages of middle school students.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional strategies to support diverse learning styles and needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to promote their academic growth.

Classroom Management:

• Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Address student behavior issues in accordance with school policies and guidelines.

Professional Development:

• Participate in the school’s professional development program to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in middle school education.
• Apply new methodologies and technologies to improve instructional practices.

Parental Engagement:

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.
• Foster strong relationships with parents to support student success.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school events.

Community Engagement:

• Participate in school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and cohesive school community.
• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Middle School Education, or a related field.
• Teaching diploma or certification.
• Proven experience in teaching middle school students.
• Strong understanding of middle school education principles and adolescent development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an asset.
