This school is based in Abu Dhabi City, United Arab Emirates and is looking for a Tourism and Hospitality Instructor.

To provide high-quality instruction in tourism and hospitality, encompassing various aspects of event planning, hotel management, and travel agency operations. The instructor will be responsible for equipping students with practical skills and knowledge to excel in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans in tourism and hospitality, aligning with industry standards and educational best practices.
  • Teach and mentor students in areas such as event planning, hotel management, complaint management, and travel agency operations.
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate events, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in event execution and management.
  • Provide practical instruction on performing various roles in a hotel, including reception, booking, and overall management.
  • Foster innovative tourism concepts and create engaging experiences for tourists based on needs analysis.
  • Evaluate student performance through assessments, practical projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in the tourism and hospitality industry and integrate them into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to enhance the educational experience and opportunities for students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance instructional skills and industry knowledge.

 

Job Specification:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the tourism and hospitality industry.
  • At least 2 years of teaching or training experience with qualifications delivery in a relevant field.

 

Education / Certifications:
  • Diploma or University degree in Educational Pedagogy, Tourism, Hospitality, or related fields.

 

Technical Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in event planning, hotel management, and travel agency operations.
  • Proficiency in performing and teaching various hotel roles, including reception, booking, and management duties.
  • Ability to innovate and create engaging tourism experiences.
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills.
  • Ability to use educational technologies effectively in a teaching environment.

 

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in needs analysis and creating tourist experiences.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • Innovative and able to integrate new teaching methods and technologies.
