Role Overview
The Upper Elementary Teacher will guide students during a key stage of their development, encouraging them to explore abstract concepts, build independence, and develop strong social and academic foundations. The successful candidate will create an engaging, hands-on learning environment where students are empowered to take ownership of their education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive Montessori-based curriculum to Upper Elementary students.
- Support bilingual learning within English and Chinese environments.
- Encourage independence, responsibility, and collaboration in the classroom.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing individualized guidance.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to support student success.
- Contribute to the wider school community through initiatives and activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, ideally in an international or Montessori school.
- Familiarity with Montessori principles and international curricula.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for working in a diverse, bilingual environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
