Role Overview
The Year 5 Homeroom Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons across core subjects including English, Mathematics, and Science. You will support students in developing key academic and social-emotional skills through differentiated instruction and a strong classroom community. Collaboration with colleagues, effective communication with parents, and commitment to ongoing development are central to this role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Native English speaker
- Experience teaching primary years, particularly Year 5
- Deep understanding of the Australian curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Tech-savvy and enthusiastic about integrating digital tools into teaching
- Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement
- Strong ability to foster relationships with students, colleagues, and families
