This school is based in Dubai, UAE and is looking for a Secondary Chemistry Teacher.

Raffles World Academy is seeking a motivated and experienced Secondary Chemistry Teacher to join our science department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about chemistry and science education, capable of delivering high-quality instruction, and committed to fostering a culture of inquiry and innovation among students.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative chemistry lessons to secondary students, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
• Foster a deep understanding of chemical principles and their applications, encouraging students to explore real-world science problems.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Conduct experiments and practical lab activities, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Assess and evaluate students’ progress in understanding chemistry concepts and skills, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and contribute to the school’s STEM initiatives.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest educational research and pedagogical strategies.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field.
• A valid teaching certification or qualification in secondary education with a specialization in chemistry.
• At least two years of experience teaching chemistry at the secondary level.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students in the study of chemistry.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to promoting a culture of respect, curiosity, and critical thinking.
