Position Overview: The Deputy Head Academics plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of academic excellence at Stanford Lake College. The successful candidate will be responsible for compliance with IEB policies, promoting a culture of excellence, and implementing innovative teaching approaches.

• Academic Leadership: Provide vision and direction to achieve the school’s academic strategies, fostering a culture of excellence among pupils and staff.
• Learning Environment: Create an engaging and productive learning environment that is fulfilling for all pupils.
• Innovative Teaching: Embrace and promote modern teaching approaches, demonstrating a creative outlook toward education.
• Teaching Role: Teach and actively participate in all areas of school life, serving as a role model for pupils and staff.
• Integrity: Demonstrate moral and intellectual integrity in all aspects of the role.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Education and/or PGCE.
• Experience: Extensive experience in education, preferably within the IEB (5-10 years).
• Registration: SACE registration.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Technical Skills: Tech-savvy and proficient in using educational technology.
• Personal Attributes: Attention to detail, goal-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Independence: Ability to work independently and take initiative.
