This school is based in Rolle, Switzerland and is looking for a Professor of Economic and Social Sciences and Head of Start-up @ Rosey and Entrepreneurship.

Institut Le Rosey is a prestigious dual-language (English and French) co-educational boarding IB World School, renowned for its unique two-campus system and innovative educational approach. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Professor of Economic and Social Sciences who will also head the Start-up @ Rosey and Entrepreneurship program.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Economic and Social Sciences, enriching and inspiring students using innovative teaching methods and technology.
  • Lead the Start-up @ Rosey and Entrepreneurship program, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset and skills among students.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with various regional entrepreneurship promotion organizations to integrate Le Rosey’s future hub into this ecosystem.
  • Organize entrepreneurship-related conferences and a program of start-up visits in the region once the CSE (Centre for Science and Entrepreneurship) is operational.
  • Involve Le Rosey in one or two start-up competitions (e.g., Mass Challenge) and integrate design thinking into these initiatives.
  • Regularly communicate with current incubators to better understand the needs and challenges of our future hub.
  • Engage actively in boarding life and contribute to the holistic development of students.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach engaging and challenging lessons in Economic and Social Sciences at various levels.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive entrepreneurship curriculum.
  • Organize and lead start-up competitions, conferences, and visits.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment.
  • Regularly assess and adjust the workload based on the launch phase needs of the entrepreneurship program.
  • Contribute to the broader school community and participate in boarding life.

 

Qualifications:
  • Native French speaker.
  • Swiss or EU nationality, or a valid Swiss work permit.
  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with French Baccalaureate and International Baccalaureate programs.
  • Experience teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) from primary level.
  • Ability to reside on campus and actively participate in boarding life.
