This school is based in Lugano, Switzerland and is looking for an Associate Director of Advancement.

The American School In Switzerland (TASIS) seeks a full-time Associate Director of Advancement to support the School’s efforts in admissions, alumni relations, development, and communications. This position plays a crucial role in representing TASIS to prospective and current parents, alumni, and donors, collaborating closely with the Director of Admissions and Director of Alumni Relations.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Development budget and monitor the Giving section of the TASIS website.
  • Support Annual Giving and Capital Campaigns, as directed.
  • Maintain and update the development database using Veracross.
  • Oversee gift reporting, acknowledgments, and data management of donations.
  • Conduct donor research and produce the annual Honor Roll of Donors.
  • Prepare Board reports and the Monthly Alumni and Development Report.
  • Participate in parent social events and assist in organizing on and off-campus Galas.
  • Serve as a liaison between the TASIS Parent Association (TPA) and Administration.
  • Assist in planning the 70th Anniversary of TASIS and other major projects celebrating the School’s history and mission.
  • Attend and assist with All-Class Alumni Reunions, on-campus class reunions, and Alumni Induction.
  • Meet with prospective families for admissions visits and represent TASIS at admissions events worldwide.
  • Assist with onboarding and cultivation of new students and participate in on-campus admissions events.

 

Summary of Educational Background and Professional Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven administrative and clerical experience.

 

Professional and Personal Skills Required:
  • English mother tongue or C2 level.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technological proficiency and problem-solving ability.
  • Initiative, creativity, and flexibility.

 

Additional Comments:
  • The position involves national and international travel for admissions and alumni reunions, approximately 4 to 8 times a year.
  • Travel expenses are covered by the School.
  • The Associate Director of Advancement may engage with students in various activities.
  • Other duties relevant to the position may be assigned by the School in accordance with Swiss law provisions.
